Lantern Therapy Practice offers psychotherapy for adults, children and families.

For young children, we offer play therapy principles that integrate CDPL's developmental focus.  Our work is grounded in neurodiverse-affirming, developmentally-informed services.  We incorporate neurobiology and trauma-informed principles within a psychodynamic framework for children, individuals and families.  Parent coaching is an area of deep expertise.

Lantern Therapy practice supports a respectful learning community for pre-licensed therapists under the supervision of CDPL's Director Jeanne White, LMFT and Chad Kordt-Thomas, LCSW.  Both supervisors are affiliate faculty with www.Profectum.org which trains clinicians in the DIR/Floortime method. Chad Kordt-Thomas has certification in infant mental health and Jeanne White is a doctoral Candidate in Child and Adolescent psychology with the University of Southern California Health Sciences in the Reiss-Davis doctoral program.

Note: As a member of the Vista Autism Center (VAC) led by Israeli psychoanalyst Joshua Durban, we also have limited space available for neurodivergent youth and family seeking intensive psychotherapeutic work in Santa Barbara County.  For more information, please go to the Vista Del Mar Autism Center's link: https://www.vistadelmar.org/autism-center

We welcome you to Lantern Therapy Practice.  We work with an extraordinary team of accomplished Associates and are happy to meet with you to see if we can be of help.
